Special Technique Instructions:
Beads, Tape, and Thread embellishment
Top Border: Apply 1/8" Treasure Trim along top and bottom border of the strip. Peel back the red liner and use Dimensional Threads to fully cover the tape.
Side Border: Apply ½" Treasure Trim along the side of your page. Outline edges of the tape with your Pearl Ribbon. Next add a stripe of Garnet Braid. With the Rose Quartz Braid, lay down an inch of thread alongside the Garnet. Make two loops for a heart shape, pressing to secure the thread. Continue another inch and make another heart. Continue along the length of the tape. Finish by adding Garnet strips between each heart. Continue to assemble your page. When finished, lay your page in shallow pan and cover remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets.
Sewn Heart
Begin by threading your needle with an 18" length of Fine #8 Braid in 080HL Garnet Hi Lustre. Tape the end of your thread to the back of your heart card. Start at the bottom of your inside row of holes, and come up through that hole. Sew down into the one next to it, up through the next, and so on around the heart. When you reach your starting point, tape off the end and cut your thread.
Repeat this process with your Very Fine #4 Braid in 007. Follow the holes around the outside scallops of the heart. Secure your thread at the back of the card when finished.
Kreinik threads available through needlework stores or www.kreinik.com.
