Tip for Sewing Even Skirt Hems
A plunger can be used to help you make an even hem around a skirt. Place the plunger on the ground. Mark how far you want your skirt to hang from the floor on the handle of the plunger. This serves as a simple, visual guide as you mark and pen the hem around the skirt.
