When you live in a house with little people you will need one of these sooner or later. I know those little boo boos need special attention and with such a simple recipe you can make a few just to have them handy if you have the need for more than one at one time. I think this is a cool idea and I know I will get a few of these made in the near future for sure.

Who knew that this cold compress was so simple to make. This type of item can be a little pricey and any chance to save a few dollars on a necessity such as this is a big plus.Make sure you invest in a baggie that will not leak or double bag.

You are very clever to have thought of this! I like that the cover can be slipped off to be washed. And it can be made to the sizes that work best for your family. My idea is to use a cute fabric for one that will work for the younger kids, and another floral or pattern for everyone else.

I have made the liquid part out of Dawn before when I had my surgery. The nurse told us how to make it and put in the freezer and wrap in towel but never thought of making a pouch to put it in. So cool and easy and beats using a rag to wrap it in. I did not know you could use different dish washing liquids. Anyone else try this compress/ It works great.

Fantastic project for anyone who watches children! Kids material would make it friendlier for when little ones are injured.

Very cool idea, I've seen the hot packs. I have a "seal-a-meal" contraption with very thick bags that might also work well and be more secure. I would worry about even 3 baggies. I would recommend putting the bags head first then tail first into the next bag for extra security.

This is a great idea, and my husband came up with the idea of putting the dishsoap in our Foodsaver bags, doubled, which would be a lot stronger than ziplock bags!!

What a wonderful customizeable project! For a fraction of what just 1 would cost from the store we can make these for anywhere necessary in just the perfect sizes with comfy covers of our choice. Straps with Velcro can be added to hold them in place. After you put the dishsoap in the bag very carefully buro out as much excess air as you can. This will help them form to the area better. Thanks for the great, truly helpful idea!
