- Aluminor(TM) by Fairfield
- Basic sewing supplies
- 3 buttons
- Thin elastic
Instructions
-
Measure your French Press. You want to measure the press' circumference and the height, making sure you account for where the handles are! My press measured 12" around and 6" high (for the cozy to slip between the handles).
-
Cut the Aluminor(TM) fabric based on your measurements, allowing for a 1/4" seam allowance.
-
Fold the seam allowance down to finish the edges of the Aluminor. Pin in place, and sew. Note: The pins can leave holes in the material, so make sure you pin it where you can't see the holes OR use clips to hold the edges down. Also, DON'T iron it!
-
Stitch buttons onto one short end of the cozy and elastic loops onto the other. If you don't want to use elastic, simply stitch ribbons onto either side and tie them together to hold the cozy on the French press.
