Crochet a chain to desired length to attach leprechaun and shamrock. Attach the chain to the inside of the head before stuffing and sewing hat to head.
Finishing the Leprechaun
Stuff Hat lightly, sew to top of Head as shown in picture. With Black yarn, embroider eyes and mouth. Use acrylic yarn to attach and create the beard and hair for the leprechaun. I used Caron simply soft, latch-hooked it on and tied it in a knot. When finished I combed the yarn to create wavy beard and hair.

Sew 4 leaves together to shape shamrock; this gives you 2 shamrock leaves. Then sew together the shamrock leaves to create a pillow, fill with fiberfill as you go. Attach the open end of the crochet chain to the shamrock leave.

Just adjust it a little and make the bottom leaf on this pattern a stem instead of a leaf. or make the pattern for 2 leaves then cut the second pattern in half and make 1 leaf, then sew them together.

You bet a Shamrock has only three leaves. How about a pattern for that? A big one! Thanks, Mommalo

This is so cute and I think I will make it BUT............ St. Patrick's shamrock was three-leaf, not four. He used it to teach about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Gail Irene
