Lucky St. Pattie's Day Banner
Kids will love helping you make this adorable Lucky St. Pattie's Day Banner from Laura Kelly. Decorated with colorful buttons, crayon shavings, and paint chips, this banner is a great way to get your home ready for St. Patrick's Day!
Materials:
- Old crayons
- Memo pad backs (or cardboard)
- Kite string
- Sharpie marker
- Scissors
- Paint chips
- Buttons Galore Buttons
- Adhesive
- Various embellishments
Instructions:
-
I used a Sharpie marker and doodled up a bunch of shamrocks on the cardboard backs from used up memo pads then cut them out. With a little help from my fairy godchildren, we decorated them for the garland. One of my favorites was melting shaved crayons in the microwave onto a cardboard shamrock.
-
Emily was pretty excited about cutting up the paint chips and decorating one with layers of color and black Sharpie dots in the centers.
-
Kylie and I got a little crazy with the buttons from our Laura Kelly collection. We really love using our super cute little pink glue gun from Adtech!
-
We doodled designs on several more of them and simply colored them in with crayon. Then we cut out 5 rectangles and lettered the word L U C K Y on them then colored them with crayons and embellished with buttons.
- Using kite string, we tied it all together and hung it from the mantle!
