SavvySparkle Eyelash Sunglasses

When you hit the beach, it's important to rock a cute pair of sunglasses. Make a pair of SavvySparkle Eyelash Curler from Savannah Starr and stand out from the crowd! Beach crafts make lounging in the sand so much more fun.


 

Materials:

• Aleene’s Fabric Stiffener and Draping Liquid
• Aleene’s Liquid 2 Part Liquid Epoxy Adhesive
• Fringe – black
• Scissors
• Sunglasses
• Wax paper
• Paint brush
• Paper towel
• Pins
• Foam tray
• Plastic wrap
• Toothpick
• Epoxy glue
• Swarovski crystals

Instructions:

1. Select fun sunglasses. I love bright colors and prints!
   
   
    
2. Place your fringe on the top of your sunglasses to measure length needed. Be sure to add an additional 1/2″ or so to this measurement. Cut one piece of fringe for each side.
   
   
    
3. Place fringe on wax paper. Brush Aleene’s Fabric Stiffener onto both sides of fringe.
   
   
    
4. If fringe is over-saturated, use paper towel to gently dab away excess Fabric Stiffener.
   
   
    
5. Place fringe back on wax paper and use toothpick to arrange so that the fringe lays flat.
   
   
    
6. Place piece of plastic wrap onto foam tray. Place fringe over edge and arrange so that the fringe hangs over the edge and again check to be sure the fringe pieces are straight. Pin to tray to hold in place while it dries overnight.
   
   
    
7. When your fringed eyelashes are dry, the Fabric Stiffener will be clear and the fringe will be rigid to the touch.
   
   
    
8. Place back on sunglasses and cut to desired width (and if desired, cut eyelashes shorter.) Glue in place along top edge of sunglasses with 2-Part Epoxy glue. I chose this glue because the instant glues turn white on this type of plastic surface and hot glue will not hold on the plastic frames. The Epoxy glue sets quickly and holds. For the last step, I glued Swarovski crystals onto the frame. Let glue dry completely.
