As avid crafters ourselves, we understand the joy that comes from creating beautiful and functional pieces to celebrate holidays like Thanksgiving. If you love making DIY plates for this festive occasion, we have some fantastic project recommendations for you.

For those who enjoy painting and have a knack for detail, we suggest trying your hand at creating hand-painted Thanksgiving plates. You can use ceramic plates as your canvas and paint autumnal scenes, turkeys, or heartfelt messages of gratitude. These personalized plates will make a lovely addition to your Thanksgiving table or a thoughtful gift for a loved one.

If you enjoy working with clay, consider making your own clay Thanksgiving plates. You can use air-dry clay or polymer clay to mold plates in various shapes and sizes. Add texture with leaf imprints or stamp messages of thanks around the edges. Once baked and hardened, these unique plates will be a conversation starter at your holiday dinner.

For those who prefer a quick and easy project, try decoupaging Thanksgiving themed paper napkins onto plain white plates. Simply cut out your favorite designs, adhere them to the plates with decoupage glue, and seal with a clear sealant. These plates are perfect for a last-minute Thanksgiving gathering or a fun craft night with friends.

No matter your skill level or preferred crafting medium, there are endless possibilities for creating beautiful Thanksgiving plates to add a personal touch to your holiday celebrations. Happy crafting!

Do you host the Thanksgiving dinner at your house or reunion and like to decorate the table for the guests then you need to see thie neat idea on a way to decorate the plates too. All you need are the plates and sharpies and your oven. Put a saying on sides or even draw a pretty picture. This is someting simple but add a special touch. use your own dishes or head out to the dollar store and grab some. I can see this done on colored dishes too. Super idea.

Love this idea! And getting plates for this project can be a fun hunt to the local thrift shop, resale shop, garage sale or even the ' buck' store, and if you are like me, they don't even have to match! That makes for even more whimsy! Take it a step further, and put the family name or even add the year, and they can become heirlooms, or each person can take their plate home to remember the gathering! Super idea!

How creative is that? DIY plates? I have never thought of doing DIY plates. This is so easy. I can even make DIY cups and utensils too. Great idea to customize during holidays or during parties too!! I would probably make these for my gatherings.

Kierste strikes again. I have seen her Christmas places and her polka dot plates but these may very well be my favorites. I have a set of plain cream colored dishes in the closet just waiting to come out and be seen at the table. Keep them congrats Kierste, you have great ideas.
