"Weather is finally warming up and it is time to sow some seeds and enjoy the spring. I don't have a green thumb but I try hard to maintain my plants and I'm positive one day I will grow plants that produce veggies/fruits/ flowers. I got a couple of growing kits from Five below to start with. When my mother-in-law visited us she collected a lot of yogurt container saying she will come up with a use for it. I said her I will keep it as long as she is here and then I will recycle it. In the end, I came with this idea of using it as planters for my plants.Let's see how."

Why You'll Love This Recycled Craft

Here are the top 3 reasons to make these Recycled DIY Planters:

1. Eco-Friendly: By repurposing old yogurt containers as planters, you are helping to reduce waste and be more environmentally conscious. Instead of throwing these containers in the trash, you are giving them new life as a functional and attractive home for your plants.

2. Cost-Effective: Buying new planters can be expensive, especially if you have a lot of plants to care for. By using recycled materials like yogurt containers, you can save money and still have beautiful planters for your greenery. This craft project is a budget-friendly way to add some style to your indoor or outdoor garden.

3. Personal Touch: Making your own planters gives you a sense of pride and accomplishment. You can customize them to suit your style and preferences, adding a personal touch to your gardening efforts. Plus, knowing that you created something with your own hands adds a special element to your home decor.

Overall, making these Recycled DIY Planters is a fun and creative way to enhance your gardening experience while also being kind to the planet and your wallet. Give it a try and bring some greenery into your space in a unique and sustainable way!

I never thought about cutting the tops off of yogurt containers to use like that, but that's a great idea. I have used just the lids but if you overwater, they don't hold much. It looks as if she is using the larger yogurt containers and not the small cups, because most of those don't come with lids.

I save alot of cans and plastic bottles and cups but I throw away yoghurt cups. This is the best way to get me to save some and start a fresh herb garden. I love fresh basil and mint for my spaghetti sauce and my mint lemonade which I'll be making quite slot of his summer so I'll need to grow a fresh batch.

I love recycling things and I have a ton of yogurt cups. I have used them for a lot of things but this idea is great. I want to get some seeds and start a few plants and then give them to my grand daughter to raise. She can learn a lot that way.
