Valentine Table Setting and Custom Dinnerware
Anniversaries and Valentine’s Day become even more special with custom dinnerware made with love from Krylon.
Materials:
- Krylon Frosted Glass Finish - White (#9040)
- Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Paint - Burgundy (#52118)
- Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Primer - Gray (#51318)
- Krylon Leafing Pens - 18 KT. Gold (#9901)
- Clear glass plate (2)
- Clear glass vase
- Clear wine glass (2)
- Clear napkin ring (2)
- Wooden charger plate (2)
- Placemat (2)
- Napkin (2)
- Contact® paper
- Decorative edge scissors
- Scissors
- Tack cloth
- Sandpaper
Steps:
- Wash and dry glassware and set aside.
- Charger: Sand charger plates smooth and remove dust with tack cloth. Spray with Gray Primer. Let dry. Spray with Burgundy paint. Let dry.
- Placemat/Napkin: Paint edge of placemats and napkins with Gold Leafing Pen. Let dry.
- Vase: Cut heart shapes from Contact paper. Peel off backing and stick randomly all over vase. Spray with Glass Frosting. Let dry. Paint rim of vase with Gold Leafing Pen. Let dry.
- Wine Glass: Cut a 1" wide strip of contact paper long enough to wrap around top of glass. Trim with decorative edge scissors. Peel off backing and wrap around top of glass so that decorative edge is towards bottom. Cut small heart shapes from Contact® paper. Peel off backing and stick randomly on glass below decorative edge. Spray with Glass Frosting. Let dry. Paint edge of glass base with Gold Leafing Pen. Let dry. (Note: paint should not be applied to drinking edge of glass).
- Glass Plate: Turn plate upside down. Paint edge of plate with Gold Leafing Pen. Let dry. Cut heart shapes from Contact paper. Peel off backing and stick randomly all over bottom of plate. Spray with Glass Frosting. Let dry.
- Napkin Rings: Spray with Glass Frosting. Let dry. Paint edges with Gold Leafing Pen. If napkin rings have a pattern, follow with Leafing Pen to embellish.
- Carefully remove contact paper from all projects and hand wash to remove any traces of adhesive before using.
