Mosaic Wall
Make a mosaic wall with this craft using scrapbook paper from Alexa Westerfield. Just arrange the colored squares in a grid for instant color.
Materials:
- Multicolored scrapbook page packs (I purchased mine at Target and 50 sheets came to a pack; I purchased 2 packs)
- Zot adhesive glue dots
- Tape measure
Instructions:
- I measured out the length of my wall, then I figured out how many square 12x12 pieces of paper would fit into that length.
- I picked out 9 different colors from a multi-color pack that I liked and placed them in a random fashion. Starting at the top, I horizontally placed the paper (to adhere to wall I put Zot dots in the four corners of the paper and pressed).
- I then began on the next row. My goal was to not repeat two colors in a row vertically or horizontally. It was a challenge, but not that hard once I started doing the mosaic. I tried to not get too many colors together or have similar colors sitting next to each other. I wanted it to look like a mosaic of color that looked random in placement and aesthetically pleasing overall.

Very creative! Do you know the name of the brand you used for this?

This sounds like a great idea! I was looking for a way for brightening the room without painting my walls, since my landlord does not allow that. Is there a way to attach it without the zot dots ? Purchasing foam board would add to the cost considerably.

Try light tack spray adhesive. Spray the paper instead of the wall. It is repositionable and can be removed later.

My son just got a full size bed. Right now there is no headboard. I think I am going to check out what papers are available in red, his favorite color and secure them to foam core, then clear coat it. It might make a cool and inexpensive headboard! If anyone has tried this please let us know how it worked out.

Looks nice but zot dots will ruin the wall when you take it off. Maybe doing it on a piece of foam board first would be better.

What a fantastic way to add colour to a room without the cost & effort of painting. I can't wait to try it.

I love this I think if you wanted to make it water proof you could laminate each page first though that would be costly You could also check the type of paper you get do a test sheet apply a water proof clear coat paint on it Well I guess all paint is water proof lol But do a clear coat over each piece I would do both sides as your wall will sweat at times too AND If you wanted to make it perm you could do the clear coat paint right over the top of it Once you check the pages make sure they will not bleed w the paint on it You know sorry to keep gabbing This would be a great idea for a teens kids room You can let them chose the colors Like right now my daughter would probably do all black papers w a…Read More bright pink heart made out in the middle of it some how Same goes with cartoon characters this way when they are board with it take them down do something else A B C's for the baby change it as they grow I am loving this idea

Is there any way to waterproof this so it can be done in a bathroom or laundry room?
