Ruffled Crepe Paper Napkin Rings
Spice up the tables at your wedding reception by hand crafting these ruffled crepe paper napkin rings. If you're looking for DIY paper napkin rings on a budget, these pretty napkin rings are for you!
Materials:
- 2 rolls of crepe paper streamers
- Ribbon
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Toilet paper or paper towel tubes
Instructions:
- Ruffle your streamers by putting the two strands side by side, overlapping slightly, and sewing down the middle with your stitch length and your top thread tension turned up. I put the two rolls on a skewer on my lap to make it easier for myself.
- Cut toilet paper tubes in thirds, so you'll get three napkin rings per tube.
- Apply a strip of hot glue around the middle of your toilet paper tube section, then press your ruffled streamers into the glue. Trim excess streamers off so you only have enough to cover the tube.
- Apply another strip of hot glue around the center of the streamers, right over the thread, and cover it up with ribbon. Again, trim the excess.
- Fluff up the crepe paper and slide a cloth napkin through the ring.
