Materials List
- An empty glass bottle (whiskey or beer bottles work great)
- Jute twine or thick rope
- Hot glue gun & glue sticks
- Scissors
- old bolts
- small metal accents
- leather scraps
Instructions
-
Prep the Bottle: Peel off the label, clean off the glue, and make sure the bottle is dry.
-
Start at the Bottom: Put a dot of hot glue at the base and press your twine into it. Start wrapping, working your way up. Add a bit of glue every few turns to keep it tight.
-
Keep It Even: Try to keep the twine wrapped evenly without gaps. You can go all the way to the top or stop midway, depending on the look you're going for.
-
Add Some Edge: Want it to stand out? Glue on a strip of leather, wrap some old copper wire around it, or attach a small gear or bolt for that industrial feel.
-
Done: That’s it. Stick a dried branch or a few feathers in it, or leave it as-is. Either way, it’s got character.
