Pretty Collaged Shoes
Step out in style with upcycled ideas for spring! Make Pretty Collaged Shoes from Tiffany Windsor using sandals you already have. All you need is pretty tissue paper and some Aleene's Collage Pauge glue and you can make your own cool kicks.
Materials:
- Aleene’s Collage Pauge
- Paint brush – soft bristle
- Sandals of your choice
- Decorative papers – I used hand-painted tissue paper. Rice paper also works well.
- Scissors
Instructions:
- For my project, I used hand-painted tissue papers. Rice paper also works well for this technique. Select a paper that is soft yet durable.
- Brush Aleene’s Collage Pauge onto surface of shoe.
- Brush Aleene’s Collage Pauge on wrong side of painted tissue.
- Lay paper over sandal strap.
- Brush another coat of Aleene’s Collage Pauge on top of tissue paper.
- Cut off excess. Dip finger into Aleene’s Collage Pauge and rub it over the surface of the tissue until most wrinkles have been pushed out. I prefer to cut off excess along sides (rather than folding them to the back side because any wrinkles can potentially rub your foot.) Let dry completely.
