Bush Baby T-Shirt Craft

Materials List
- White T-shirt for a boy aged 2-3 years
- Pens: Acrilex Acrilpens: 520 Preto (black); 531 Marrom (brown); 501 Azul Turquesa (turquoise blue); 507 Vermelho Fogo (red); 517 Laranja (orange); 513 Verde Musgo (moss green) and 505 Amarelo Ouro (yellow)
- Pilot silver marker pen
- One cup of gin
- Glass bowl
- Pencil
- Baby shampoo
- A5 piece of left-over cardstock
- Iron and ironing board
How to Make the Bush Baby T-Shirt
Instructions

Wash the T-shirt in baby shampoo, rinse it thoroughly in cold water and allow the T-shirt to dry thoroughly.

Pour the gin into the glass bowl. Wet small sections of fabric with the gin and gently squeeze out any excess gin. Color the fabric with textile pens and rub the fabric gently to spread the ink. Use different colors and allow to colors to bleed into one another.
Tip: The alcohol will make it seem as if the textile pens have dried up, but as soon as the alcohol has evaporated, the pens will be fine again. -
Continue until the whole T-shirt has been colored and allow it to dry thoroughly.

Use the pencil to draw two freehand squares on the front of the shirt.

Use the black pen to trace the outline of the squares, so that it will look like two frames.

Use the silver pen to add some highlights to the black frames.

Color the leopard spots:
a. Color the base of the spots with the black pen.
b. Use the yellow pen to add fine lines to the background.
c. Add some brown to the inner part of some of the spots. Also add a few fine brown lines to the background.
d. Add orange detail to the spots and a few orange lines to the background.
e. Add some shadows with the blue pen.
f. Add highlights to the black part of the spots with the silver pen. -
Color the zebra stripes:
a. Color the black stripes and allow to dry.
b. Use the brown pen to add fine lines to the white stripes.
c. Add highlights to the black stripes with the silver pen.
d. Use the blue pen to add fine lines to the white stripes. -
Freehand write the words “BUSH BABY” below the squares.

Color the letters in red first.

Then, add detail to the letters with the black and silver pens.

Wait 72 hours before washing and ironing the T-shirt.
