Fall Slimline Gatefold Card
Fall is in the air and through the changing colors of the leaves! I am sharing a seasonal gatefold card inspired by the images from the stamp set I used. When assembling this beauty, we used the E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine also known as the Vellum Runner. There’s a subtle dimension when using the Crafty Foam Tape in 1mm which is half the height of a regular foam adhesive. Perfect for mailing out fun cards! I hope to get you in the mood so you will also create and spread some seasonal cheer. Let’s get started!

Fall Slimline Card Basics
-
Start with cutting one 3.5 x 8.5-inch piece out of Kraft cardstock and from the same cardstock, cut a 3.5 x 9.5-inch piece. Score the 3.5 x 9.5-inch cardstock on the long side at 0.50-inch on each end. Then stamp the Slim Fall Sunflowers Cling Rubber Stamp image between the score lines.
-
On the stamped panel, cut 3-inch from the score line on the right side. Apply E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra on each scored line and secure to the ends of the 3.5 x 8.5-inch card panel. Now you have formed your gatefold card base.
Card Front Embellishment
-
On a piece of white cardstock, stamp the sunflower image and color the left side of the image with watercolor pencils or any color medium you like. Then fussy cut the colored portion of the image.
-
Add Crafty Foam Tape 108ft. to the back (making sure not to add over the opening of the card front) and place it on the corresponding area on the card front. The height on this foam tape is just enough to lift the layer without the bulk. Another advantage is you can cut the tape as long or short as your project needs.
-
Stamp sentiment on vellum and cut in a long strip to cover end to end on the left side of the panel (about 5.5-inches). Adhere to the card front with the E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine adhesive which is perfect for vellum! Once the adhesive settles, it will be clear.
Inside the Card
-
For the inside of the card base, I wanted to have a finished look, so I added a piece of 3 x 8-inch white cardstock piece and secured it with Creative Photo Corners in Gold.
-
Now it’s ready to be sent! I hope you enjoyed the Fall Slimline Gatefold Card tutorial.
