    Frosty Candle Pot Holder

    During these holiday seasons let frosty warm you up with some candles. This adorable candle pot holder is easy to make and it makes for a great gift. Christmas clay pots bring joy.

    Materials:

    • PALETTE:
    • DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paints:
    • Napa Red Buttermilk
    • Deep Midnight Blue Forest Green
    • Burnt Orange Brandy Wine
    • Moon Yellow
    • Green Mist
    • White
    • Slate Grey
    • Lamp Black
    • 4" terra cotta pot
    • Raffia
    • Pillar candle
    • Multi purpose sealer
    • 2" terra cotta plant dish
    • Scrap fabric
      Pattern


    PAINTING INSTRUCITONS:

    1. Clean and dry pot. Apply 2 coats of sealer to entire pot. Let dry between each coat.
       
    2. Base pot with NAP A RED.
       
    3. Snowman: Paint face WIDTE. Nose is BURNT ORANGE shaded along top edge with WHITE. Eyes and mouth are LAMP BLACK. Dot eye with WHITE. Cheeks are a wash of BRANDY WINE. Float around the edge with BRANDY WINE. Paint the scarf and top of hat with FOREST GREEN. Shade the top of the hat with GREEN MIST.
       
    4. Shade along the edges of the scarf with GREEN MIST. Plaid lines are BUTTERMILK.
       
    5. Rim of hat is DEEP MIDNIGHT BLUE. Shade around the top edge with SLATE
       
    6. GREY. Lines are SLATE GREY. Star is MOON YELLOW with SLATE GREY lines.
       
    7. Lettering and dots are BUTTERMILK.
       
    8. ASSEMBLY:

    9. Spray pot with 2-3 coats of matte spray finish. Place pot dish down inside the pot. Run a bead of glue around the edge of the dish to keep it secure. Add candle.
       
    10. Tie a long scrap of fabric and some raffia around the candle.
