Felt Garland

Wondering how to warm up your mantel this Christmas?  Homemade garland might help!  This festive Felt Garland is simple, yet decorative.  Hang it from your mantel or on your tree.  Easy felt crafts make the holiday season much less stressful!

Materials:

• Red and green felt
• Scissors
• Sewing machine
• Contrasting thread
   

Instructions:

1. Cut 18 2”x2” squares of green felt and 19 2"x2" squares of red felt.
    
2. Starting with the red, pick your favorite stitch and start sewing diagonally across the square. Once you are near the corner, grab a green square and, as best you can, overlap the corners and keep on sewing. Repeat the red and green pattern, trim strings.
