Instructions
-
Choose a card to colour and your favourite watercolour pencil colours. It doesn’t matter if it’s lifelike! Use your imagination!
-
Add some colour near one side or end of a space, then use a damp brush to spread the colour. You’ll get lovely shading. If you want more colour, allow to dry then add more colour and spread again. You can even add different colours at each end and blend them together in the middle. Just play!
-
When you’re satisfied with the colouring, fussy-cut closely around the shape or an element from a larger sheet.
-
Choose three cardstocks in colours that complement your colouring.
-
Form a tent-fold card base measuring 7” x 5.5” from the darkest cardstock. Cut a panel from the same cardstock measuring 6” x 4”.
-
Die cut “Cherish” from a paler cardstock and adhere to the dark panel. Mat this panel twice with cardstocks cut about 1/8” larger than the previous as shown.
-
Adhere your coloured masterpiece as desired.
-
Smile in satisfaction and send to someone you cherish!
NotesYou can do more cards just like this using different words and colours. Crafting heaven!
