Offset Shells Afghan
Offset Shells Afghan is a fantastic pattern for crocheting beginners and an easy blanket to create for celebrating the 4th of July. The shell stitching makes this a simple crochet pattern. You can use this blanket for a child's room because of the basic stripes and size, and the coloring is light enough for a baby blanket, too. Bring this adorable afghan to a baby shower as a gift and it is sure to be the favorite gift out of the pile. Even so, this red-white-and-blue afghan would be perfect to lay out in the grass to sit and watch fireworks on with your family.

Now this is a very unique stitch pattern. The classic stripe but with a mix of double crochets and a kind of sideways shell pattern. I would like to use the Red Heart Soft yarn to create a really beautiful drape. I imagine this in a tonal stripe in pretty purples and orchids with a cream stripe to really make the colors pop. Great project for a nursing home/charity.

This afghan is great for a Fourth of July display at the sofa in the living room or it could also be used as Christmas afghan. Thanks for the pattern which is just right in front. Easy reference for crocheters.
