This pattern looks amazing! The multi color looks like hearts, which I love to see! This is a great baby blanket to make for any expecting mother, or new mother. If you do not like the multi colored yarn, you could use one contrasting color. This would look great in any color, for either a boy or a girl.

I just pinned this pattern, the colorful baby blanket. It is very dainty and old-fashioned. The color combo is just so calming and relaxing. I would like to do this for either a baby girl or a baby boy.

I'm a beginner ....what does YOH mean?

It means yarn over hook.

Have you tried watching some of the better YouTube videos on crocheting? They helped me a lot. And I joined a Facebook crochet group and learned a lot more. The members were very eager to help a beginner! The group I joined has an admin that makes his own video tutorials and they are well done.

You will not be disappointed with this beautiful blanket. I got many oohs and ahhs when when anyone saw it.

The Bernat baby yarn is very soft, too. Whenever it goes on sale I stock up because I know I'll be using it to make something. I just have to have an idea of what I'm going to make, like a plushie or blanket so I now how many skeins to buy. There's nothing worse than running out of yarn before you finish the project only to find it's been discontinued or out of stock!

I've made this blanket and it is adorable and fun to make.
