Easy Ombre Baby Blanket
"The Easy Ombre Baby Blanket uses one skein to achieve a wonderful color effect. The body of this blanket uses a V-stitch that is made up of double crochets and chains. The border uses single crochet, double crochet, and slip sts to give a lacy effect. This project works up approximately 29" square and makes a great baby shower gift."

This is an excellent pattern when a quick gift is needed. The bonus is that it is beautiful! I think it would also make a really pretty lap blanket for a person who has to sit a lot. I think it could easily be doubled in size too. I love the color the blogger has chosen. This looks perfect for a baby shower gift.

This is gorgeous. Both the pattern and the color. Purple is a very girly color to use. But it would be just as pretty done in blue or pink ombr yarn. I have a couple skeins of Unforgettable yarn in shades of blue that would be perfect for a baby boy afghan.

Purple is my favorite color, so naturally I am in love with this ombr blanket. I also love that the pattern is easy to read, and you can work on the blanket while you are watching tv or riding in a car. I love projects like this that are almost mindless and work up quickly. I would also consider making this blanket in a different ombr, such as green or blue or pink.
