This is just a beautiful baby blanket. On my own, I would never have made these color selections but this just so pretty and novel as baby blankets so. The motif is the same in only that the colors change position in the design. I know this will be a hit with any one that this is made for.

This is not what my first thought of baby blankets is when I think of making a baby blanket. However I am loving the colors on the Harlequin baby blanket. These hues are certainly not your typical colors and it is a little on the male scale for the color but could easily be appropriate for a girl.

This is such a great blanket pattern! I love the colors, they go so well together. If you are not into these colors together, you can easily switch them for any color you would like. I agree with the others here, there do appear to be 2 blankets in the photo. It would be wonderfully to have the pattern for the other blanket also. Maybe you could search on the Bernat website for the other pattern?

If I understand this pattern, it only needs two different motifs. Seems simple enough. I am sure you can use different colors in the motifs as well. It would make a beautiful blanket, something you won't see too often. Thank you for the pattern.

I have been searching for this pattern and am so glad I finally found it! ) But, when I saw it, there were instructions for BOTH of the patterns. Does anyone know where I can find this?

I'm with Catlover222. I'm making blankets for my 3rd grandchild expected come April. The pattern for what appears to be the complimentary striped blanket would be welcomed!

I would greatly appreciate clarification in the above picture. I was wondering if another blanket is shown underneath the Soft Harlequin Baby Blanket as well being draped over the arm of the chair. Would it be possible to obtain a copy of that pattern? Thank you for your assistance.

Hello FaveCrafts.com, I love this pattern because we've been needing another square or diamond shaped pattern block besides the Granny Square; not to be disrespecting the Granny Square, which is great for many, many patterns and blanket/afghan components. The Soft Harlequin Baby Blanket diamond shapes fit perfectly for this need. In addition, this is a great idea for those left-overs from other afghans or blankets--your stash will be used up quickly, depending on the size blanket you need. Thank you to Bernat and the designer, and to FaveCrafts for bringing it to us! Sincerely, BigskyDawn (An old crocheter and avid thread painter) Franklin, PA
