This is the first time I have tried to follow a pattern for a jumper, I usually stick to baby blankets as I'm new to crocheting. Thank you for the simple and easy instructions, I am really pleased with the outcome.

Priscilla, I think "ss" means slip-stitch. For others working on this pattern, what does "sc2tog" mean? 2 single crochet in one stitch? Thanks

Sc2tog means when you do 2 single crochets together. I'm not very good at explaining it but there are lots of tutorials on youtube that do. Sorry

"sc2tog" is when you "decrease by turning 2 stitches into 1" - insert hook and YO then insert hook into next stitch and YO then pull through all 3 loops on hook and you will now have 1 stitch where there used to be 2.

I have been trying this pattern a couple of times and am having no luck. When doing beginning chain of 64 chs and then doing row 2 which calls for sc, miss next chain I do not come out with the amount of sts which is 63 sts per pattern. I am a experienced crocheter but so far I have not been able to work this out. Please help.

I am so very confused by the shaping the armholes part. After the ss chain row don't you end up with 56 stitches +2 that you leave unworked? If that is the case, then, when you do the sc2tog don't you end up with 28 stitches? Then, if you repeat on the next row you would have 14 stitches. And what about the work a further 23 rows? Do you do sc or chains or sc2tog or what? I really don't understand. It might be my lack of experience but I feel like the directions are unclear.
