Modern Melissa Crochet Skirt

"This straight skirt is a simple project for a first-time garment crocheter. The Tunisian stitch pattern is an updated version of “the Melissa stitch” found in a vintage crochet book. The Modern Melissa Skirt has a great texture and the denser fabric of the Tunisian crochet means you can wear it unlined over tights or leggings. Start by crocheting two panels flat, join with a sturdy single crochet seam, and then finish with a covered elastic waist band crocheted in the round. If you prefer a liner, wear slip shorts rather than a half slip. There is a video tutorial to walk you through all the special stitches used in this pattern.
