Row 1: With right side facing, slip st in any ch-1 space on Round 1, ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 6 ch, slip st in next ch-1 space of Round 1 – 7 sc.

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, working in back loops only, sc in each sc.

Row 3: Ch 1 turn, sc in next 7 sc, slip st in next ch-1 space. Repeat Rows 2-3 around neck edge. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Using long tail, sew first and last rows together. Weave in ends.

Is there a mistake in instructions in row 29 of this project poetry poncho. I'm stuck there. Please respond as quickly as possible as I'm dying to finish it

I am not sure why this is called poetry poncho. None the less, I think it is a beautiful poncho. I am quite fond of the pineapple technique and I have never seen it applied in this manner. Honestly I have not tried to crochet anything of this magnitude but sometimes you just have to put yourself out there.

I am a very big fan of the pineapple crochet. It was one of my Mother's favorite and I have all of her pieces to prove it. This is really fancy and I want to make it but without any pictures of videos, I may not be able to get through the pattern. My Granny always said, nothing beats a failure but a try.

The pineapple design is very versatile. It can be used in many ways, like in this Poetry Poncho which is elegant and dressy. Poncho can be worn in a day or night function.

I thought no other poncho design can surprise me but this Poetry Poncho really gave a pleasant surprise. It's an ordinary pineapple design but yeah, it's cute and chic.

I'd be willing to take on this project, for sure! Besides the fact that I only need 6 balls of yarn, there are only 30 rows in this intricate poncho pattern. It is suitable for fall, winter, and spring! It looks smart with the business/office attire in the photo. A word of caution- keep your place while you are in the depths of this pattern. There are a lot of "stars".

Oh my what a beautiful Poetry Poncho this one is! I love it! After reading the written pattern, it sounds like it will come together very nicely. I'm happy to see the pattern is right here on this page and I have saved this one and have it on my must do list. I can see this one being worn on a cool summer night. Not to sure what color I want to do mine in just yet? My mind is racing on doing this one.. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
