Soft Bunny Hat

Materials:
- 2 skeins Red Heart® “Moon & Stars™” yarn in Snow
- 5.5mm [US I-9] crochet hook
- Yarn needle
Gauge: 13 sts = 4”; 8 rows = 4” in alternating sc & dc rows. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
Instructions:
Hat
- Ch 2.
- Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with a slip st.
- Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around; join – 12 sts.
- Round 3: Ch 1, sc in same st, 2 sc in next st, * sc in next st, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; join – 18 sts.
- Round 4: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, * sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; join – 24 sts.
- Round 5: Ch 1, sc in first 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, * sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; join – 30 sts.
- Round 6: Ch 1, sc in first 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, * sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; join – 36 sts.
- Round 7: Ch 1, sc in first 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, * sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; join – 42 sts.
- Round 8: Ch 1, sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st, * sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; join – 48 sts.
- Round 9: Ch 3, dc in each st around; join.
- Round 10: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join.
- Rounds 11-14: Repeat Rounds 9-10.
- Rounds 15-20: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join.
- Fasten off, weave in ends.
Ear (Make 2)
- Ch 2.
- Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join.
- Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around; join – 12 sts.
- Rounds 3-5: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join.
- Round 6: Ch 1, sc in first st, 2 sc in next st, * sc in next st, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; join – 18 sts.
- Rounds 7-13: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join.
- Round 14: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, * sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; join – 24 sts.
- Rounds 15-28: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join.
- Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Finishing
- Flatten and shape Ears, folding both sides to center. Stitch into place on Hat. Weave in ends.

Only took a couple days with many toddler interruptions. Easy pattern. Of course I like to magic circle with beanies. I did however have a hard time trying to figure out where and how to sew the ears on.
