4th of July Apron

Embellish a plain apron with a patriotic cross-stitch design for something to grill or cook in on the 4th of July. Protect your clothes and declare your American pride with this apron from Dimensions.

Materials:

• apron
• stamped cross stitch kit #6894 Bless America Flag (Dimensions Mini)
• 1 yard of rick rack
• sewing thread
• four coordinating buttons

Instructions:

1. Trim the stamped cross stitch fabric to 7-1/2" x 5-1/2".
2. On all four sides, press 1/4" of fabric to the wrong side.
3. Position the fabric on the apron.
4. Pin the rick rack in place around the edges of the fabric, making small tucks at the corners so it lies flat.
5. Sew through the rick rack and fabric to secure them to the apron.
6. Sew the buttons in place at the corners.
