Well this is interesting! I have seen all kinds of Dreamcatcher ideas on hoops and I've never thought of this. I bet this could take minutes to complete and it would be the best hippie housewarming gift. I love the traditional Dreamcatcher woven look so I could embroider the detail on a hoop.

This is such a cute and quirky way to use an embroidery hoop. I also love the idea of learning more the tradition of dreamcatchers first, like mulberrygalprincess did. That way it will be cute and meaningful.

I have a neighbor who is 50% Choctaw Indian and he has different ones of these all over his place. I asked him what was good to add to them and what wasn't particularly approved of. He gave me all kinds of advice. Owls are a no no as is their feathers. Eagles are always at the top, never below anything. Turquoise is a blessed stone, and so on. I am going to make one of these and add some of those things he suggested.
