Glue Hearts Frame
A handmade picture frame is the perfect gift for someone you love. A Glue Hearts Frame from Tiffany Windsor looks and feels amazing. Use a wooden frame as your base and Aleene's Tacky Glue to create the pretty hearts.
Materials:
- Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue
- Aleene’s Spray Acrylic Sealer – Gloss (optional)
- Lightweight cardboard (for heart pattern)
- Pencil
- White flat spray paint
- Blending craft chalks
- Cotton swabs
Instructions:
- Cut heart pattern to desired size.
- Trace pattern with pencil on frame. Repeat tracing heart patterns where desired on frame.
- Trace outline pattern with glue.
- Fill in with lines of glue. Don’t fill in the entire heart design.
- Let dry completely until glue is clear.
- Spray over entire frame with flat white spray paint.
- Rub cotton swab into chalk and rub onto raised surface.
- Use a clean swab to apply each color blending where colors meet. Blow excess chalk dust away. If desired, apply coat of gloss spray.
- You can create many different finished effects with this technique. On this frame, I applied black paint over entire frame, let dry and then antiqued the hearts with gold paint.
