How to make a Floral Headband Instructions

  1. Make your Sizzix sandwich having your regular cutting pad on the bottom, your die cut pattern on the top of that with the blades up, your fleece, and your precision plate on the top. Run that through your machine twice to make sure it is perfectly cut.

  2. Repeat step 1 with your die cut leaves pattern.

  3. Stack up your flower layers however you would like. Taking your glue gun place a dot of glue in the center of each layer and glue it down the way you would like.

  4. Using the end of your paint brush press down in the center of your brush to add some dimension. Add one more dot of glue to the center on the top layer and add your pearl.

  5. Lay your flowers out on your blank headband however you would like making sure to fill in all the gaps. Then, glue them down in place once you are happy with your pattern.

  6. Optional To Make a Bow: grab your yarn or ribbon, wrap it around your hand leaving a little bit on either side. Gather the center of your ribbon and tie it in a double knot. Trim the excess edges, and add that onto your headband wherever you would like.

I have got to get a die cut machine to make some of these great things you can make with it. I love making headbands and this Fleece flowers are so pretty and the machine makes them a breeze to do and makes it so much faster. Can you use regular fabric? I have a lot of fleece scraps left from projects I have made. What a great video and great tips and a nice tutorial too. Easy project to make with your girls or grands.

Nice headband and super instructions! Another option for those of us without the special die cut machine, would be to free form cut the flower shapes and leaves, or perhaps use clip art as a pattern to guide your shaping each flower layer. This would be a good way to also use up scraps of fabric from your stash! Cutting fabric on the bias would also allow for some stretch for the headband part as another option. Gotta love floral, headbands, thanks for sharing!
