Loose Weave Card
Weaving is fun for a variety of craft project. This card craft project by Maria Nerius uses a very loose weave to give a carefree, whimsical look and feel.
Materials:
- Design Originals Paper (Spring Stamps)
- Scrap Paper
- Card Blank
- Embellishment: Faux Postage Sticker or Embroidered Butterfly Patch
- White or Brown ink
- Art Sponge
- Fiskars Personal Paper Trimmer
- Aleene’s Tacky Glue glue stick
Instructions:
- Cut scrap paper into strips. Width and size can be the same or feel free to vary the stripes.
- Weave the strips. You’ll be using 3 vertical and 3 horizontal strips.
- Glue weaved piece to front of card to bottom. Adhere embellishment to center of weave.
- Trim and double mat the Design Originals paper stamp (cut out 1 from sheet of 12). Adhere to top, center, at a slight slant.
- Sponge with contrasting ink.

Instructions too brief and too few illustrations - I just don't quite get it. I understand everything up to and including step 3, and I understand the images at the bottom of the photos, but not how they relate to the top of the images nor instructions 4 & 5. I'd LOVE to understand the rest of the card!! Tnx..
