Wishing Well Table Runner
Use a free table runner pattern from Pat Sloan and decorate your kitchen or dining room table with a wishing well table runner. This table runner is prefect for showing off your quilting skills at parties and get-togethers.
Materials:
- outer fabric - 18" x wof
- center squares - 7" x 20”
- Fabric 1 - 6”
- Fabric 2 - 15" x wof (also used for binding)
- optional gold for stars - 6" x 20”
- Backing - 22” x wof
- Fabric 1 brown - 6” x wof
- Fabric 2 red - 4” x wof
- Fabric 3 green - 14" x wof (also used for binding

Instructions:
CUTTING DIRECTIONS
Outer Fabric
- cut 2 squares 11" x 11"
- cut in half on the diagonal
- cut 2 squares 8.5” x 8.5”
- cut in half on the diagonal
Center square
- cut 3 squares 6.5" x 6.5"
Fabric 1 (yellow)
- cut 3 strips 1.5” x 7.5"
- cut 3 strips 1.5” x 8.5”
- cut 3 strips 1.5” x 9.5"
- cut 3 strip 1.5” x 10.5”
Fabric 2 (green)
- cut 3 strips 1.5” x 6.5"
- cut 3 strips 1.5” x 7.5”
- cut 3 strips 1.5” x 8.5"
- cut 3 strips 1.5” x 9.5”
Optional Gold
- cut 3 stars for applique
Make the Wishing Well Block
- Following the diagram and photos, sew strips to the center block
- I chain sewed
- trimmed
- and pressed after each strip was added
Setting the Block:
- Layout out the blocks and LARGE triangles as shown
- Sew in sections, then sew those section to each other
- Sew the 4 smaller triangles to the ends.
- The triangles are a little oversized, so trim and quilt!
