Plarn Crochet Scrubbies Pattern
Looking for plarn patterns? Start here.
Crochet a scrubbie out of plarn! This crochet scrubbies pattern features a video tutorial so you can learn how to crochet with plastic yarn. If you've never worked with plarn before, you're in for a treat! It is so fulfilling to crochet with plastic bags that would have otherwise ended up in the garbage. In fact, this is a completely free project to make because you probably already have plastic bags lying around the house! Whip up these crochet dish scrubbies in a cinch so you have as many of your own free pot scrubbers as you need.
NotesCrocheting with plarn will be a slower process than crocheting with regular yarn. There will be natural knots in the plarn as go you; do your best to work around them.

Yes, I've worked with plarn before. I've done scrubbers, which worked ok. I've made all sorts of bags and purses. I made a lacy wide-brim hat and a lovely sweater. Then I started quilting with the plastic instead of cutting it in strips to knit and crochet. That's even more fun! Sorry, no puctures available now.

I've seen this before but never thought seriously about it, mainly because I am not very good at crocheting... but I don't think it would be too hard to knit something like this!

paver2, if you come up with a pattern for a knit version plus a photo, I would LOVE to add it to FaveCrafts! Let me know. :)

You can knit with plarn. Try making a square (3" x 3" maybe) or whatever size feels right.
