This is a beautiful scarf pattern and I've already figured out who I can gift it to. My younger sister loves chevrons. I'm thinking you just helped me mark off one of my Christmas presents. There are sooo many beautiful colors to choose from and now I just have to stealthily figure out what color her winter coat is and a coordinating color scheme for the scarf.

This is SO pretty! Is there a way to make it half the width? It looks to be a "double pattern" so it should be "doable"???

I think you're right! Your repeated row might look like "K1, kfb, k5, skp, k2tog, K5, kfb, k1"---give that a try and see if it works for a few rows. Enjoy!

Cutting it in half would lose the chevron effect of the pattern, you can make it narrower by reducing the k5's to k3's, which will reduce the width and make it narrower. Keep in mind this is a stockinette stitch pattern, so it will naturally curl in on itself, naturally reducing the width due to the curl.

looking at the pattern looks very interesting but need to correct some spelling. kfb you have from instead of front. skp you have sklip instead of skip. Can't wait to try pattern. Thank you.

I have not done much knitting for a long time so I would have to start with a simple pattern. I always loved knitting scarves in the past, even as a child, because of the various color combinations that can be achieved. Scarves are also a good project to learn on, and improve skill levels.

I could no sooner choose a favorite scarf than to choose a favorite star in the heavens. Something that doesn't roll would be best, I think.

Thank you for this great tutorial! I don't really have a favorite knitted scarf pattern, but I love to make any kind of scarf with fuzzy yarn.
