Knit Velvet Mittens

"The Velvet Mittens pattern is an easy to knit project in Bernat Velvet yarn for a super soft and warm mitten. This project can be completed with either a long circular needle and the magic loop method (this is the way the designer made them) or you can use double pointed needles. They are worked in the round from the cuff up. The thumb is increased, then the thumb stitches are placed on a holder or waste yarn and picked up to knit the thumb after the rest of the mitten is knit. Fits an average woman's hand. There is also a crochet version of this pattern."
