Sarah J Blanket
"Introduction The Sarah J Blanket is a beautiful, knitted baby blanket item that is a pleasure to make and a pleasure to use. It features an interesting flower pattern combined with sections of stockinette stitch and minimal garter stitch border. The pattern is a wonderful beginner friendly project and a introduction to lace due to a simple stitch pattern that is easily to memorise. Skills required Long tail cast on (CO), knit stitch (K), purl stitch (P), slip slip knit (SSK) (dec), knit two together (k2tog) (dec), bind-off (BO), blocking. Notes Similar worsted weight yarns may be substituted; please check gauge. The blanket is worked flat from bottom up with alternating blocks of hyacinth stitch pattern and stockinette stitch for the length of the project. The blanket has a border of garter stitch (knit every row) on left and right side as well as bottom and top edge. For gauge swatch, CO multiple of 12 plus 11 sts (if making a swatch with garter stitch border, add 5 sts on each side)."
