Upcycled Dog Collar
Your pooch will look dapper in an upcycled dog collar. These homemade dog crafts from Erika Lindquist show you how to take an old shirt and make it new for your fur baby.
Materials:
- Old collared shirt
- Fray Check
Instructions:
- Find an old collared shirt and test fit it around your dog's neck.
- Make sure it has the collared button with it (not all collared shirts are created equal). You can see what I'm talking about in this next picture.
- Just cut the collar off the shirt...literally. Then use Fray Check (a product that stops fabric from fraying) along the bottom edge and voila!! Brand new dog collar!

Such a cute idea! I know I have an old shirt I can upcycle (PUPcycle?) for this craft!

You are kidding! It is that easy to make this upcycled dog collar and no sewing. This is so fantastic for those wanting to make something different for their dogs and not knowing how to sew. Best of all you are using something that would be thrown away so these will cost nothing. This is so cute. Anyone can do this. Put some lace on and put on a female dog. Make some extras when you make yours because everyone will be asking for one. This tutorial is so super great.

This is great. I have a pom with his heavy coat I can't dress him so this idea is great for him. Thank you.

Oh, this is very smart-looking! And, hey, maybe you could do sort of the same thing for humans, to add a collar to a shirt without one--so easy!
