Oh my! I love this type of gift idea! I love the creativity involved, I love the crafting aspect of it- all of it. She's got some great ideas here for those on your list whom you are unsure what they like or don't like. Pretty much everyone likes candy or hot cocoa.Do you know how much money you would spend if you had to buy these at the store? TOO MUCH!

I think these jars are a wonderful idea. My favorite hobby is ribbon embroidery. I belong to an embroidery circle so I know a lot of people who do this craft. What I thought I could do is buy some skeins of ribbon. Wrap different colors and types of ribbons on some bobbins and put them in the jar. Maybe get a few accessories such as beads and needles etc. Put them into the mason jar. On the top of the jar I would place a cut-off of some fabric and secure it with an elastic band and then tie an attractive ribbon around that so it looks pretty. I'm going to get to this today and I will be back with a picture post.
