With your threaded needle start from the back.

Come up at your line.

Bring your stitch backwards onto the line, and pull your thread through.

Bring your thread back up through your line, and stitch back into the hole you had previously come out of in your first stitch.

Any beginner watching these videos? They are so helpful are they not? This straight stitch is a must for just about any embroider project you do and it makes the project complete. You must master this stitch and I sure wish I had these videos when I did embroidery and I probably would not have given up on it. I have some that I must try again and this time I may show my grand daughter how to do it too. Is there a video on turning the corners and is it better to do stitches long or short. I am loving these videos.
