"If you put your woolen sweaters in a hot wash they will felt. This means that you can cut and sew them without the fabric fraying which makes them perfect for craft projects. I love the mountains so I thought it would be fun to make mountain shaped pillows out of some old grey and green woolen sweaters. I appliqued some white felt to the top of my mountain pillows so that they would appear to be snowcapped."

That's a creative use for old wool sweaters! Would you believe that not long ago I threw out an old blueish gray sweater that had accidentally been felted? How I wish I had it back! I don't think my sewing machine would handle this but it shouldn't take much to sew it up by hand. I am off to the thrift store!

This is intertesting. Woollen sweaters make me itch and I just happen to have one in jungle green colour that will be perfect for this project. It's time to up cycle a sweater guys! I have my sweat and some hot water to felt it, can't wait to see it.
