Whiteboard Teacher's Gifts
"My daughter's school is pretty environmentally aware. For example, in her classroom, she uses a personal whiteboard to do some of her classwork. At the beginning of the year, the teacher requested that the children bring something to use to erase their whiteboards-an old sock was suggested. An old sock? They obviously had no idea who they were dealing with. An old sock would never do for my daughter and I, so I grabbed some scraps of felt and created a super cute eraser. I made a second one for our house-with a ribbon hanger-because we use white boards in our home office (for reminders and teaching) and in our kitchen (for meal planning and grocery lists). The erasers can be fancy of plain. I do suggest using black felt for the eraser side so that the marks you pick up from the whiteboard don't show on the felt."

Adorable! I, too, have used the old sock thing with our classroom whiteboards, and this is so much cuter. I could see doing this as a craft project in the classroom, and everyone would have their own eraser!

Such a very easy and quick craft project to make for a teacher and they all use the chalkboard. This is so much nicer looking than the old chalkboard erasers that have been used for years. I think it is great for a kid to make their teacher and put different kinds of embellishments on the front to make it special. Has anyone tried this yet?Does it eraser good?
