This is a nice written tutorial on the basics of tie dye, for those who are novices like myself. It seems like a great way to spend time with your kids, creating something together and also learning something in the process. I wonder, if I wanted to get really creative with dying my shirt, could I use a crumbled up piece of Saran wrap dipped in the dye and then dab it directly on to the shirt? I do that to apply a cool color effect on my fingernails- wondering if it would work here?!
