Valentine Hugs and Kisses Card

This Valentine's day create your loved one a fun papercraft, a card. Using cardstock and ribbon you can have yourself a beautifully looking Valentine's day card to give.

Materials:

• Light pink cardstock: cut 10 X 7”
• Aqua cardstock: cut 3 X 7” (use border punch on both side edges)
• Patterned paper 1: cut 2 X 7”
• Patterned paper 2: 3 ¼ X 3 ¼”
• Bright pink cardstock: 2 ¾ X 2 ¾”
• Chipboard heart covered with pink glitter
• Hugs and kisses ribbon: 2 pieces – 8” long, 1 piece – 3” long

NOTE: Patterned paper 2 and the bright pink cardstock were cut using a die cut, but can be cut into simple squares

Steps:

1. Fold light pink cardstock in half to create the 5 X 7” card
    
2. Adhere the aqua cardstock to the front of the card
    
3. Adhere two 8” pieces of ribbon to patterned paper 1 and bring ends to the back of the paper and secure with adhesive
    
4. Adhere patterned paper 1 to aqua cardstock
    
5. Mat bright pink cardstock square to patterned paper 2 square
    
6. Fold 3” ribbon in half and secure to the back of the chipboard heart
    
7. Adhere chipboard heart to bright pink cardstock square

TIP:

On a card that has a lumpy embellishment on the front, I place a piece of cardstock the same size as the card between the front of the card and the inside of the envelope. This protects the front of the card and keeps the envelope from tearing.
