Playful Pillowcase Skirt

Materials:
- Pillowcase
- Elastic
- Thread
- Beads
Instructions:

Cut off closed end of pillowcase.

Decide on skirt length. Add 1 ½”. Turn case inside out. Measure, mark and cut off excess.

Fold cut side down ¼” and press.

Then fold again 1 ¼” and press.

Open the seam of one side of the waist band.

Sew waistband close to the edge, about ¼”. Leave side seam opening for threading elastic.

Measure your waist and add 2:, then cut elastic to this measurement. Attach a safety pin to the end of elastic and thread through casing.

Adjust elastic to your comfort. Lay one end over the other. Sew back and forth to secure.

Slip stitch casing opening closed.

Sew ribbon over the stitch line near the pillow case opening.

Embellish bottom front of skirt as desired. If you are using a plain pillowcase you may want to embroider a design, create an applique design or sew on a cute patch. This uses ribbon and beads.
