Wooden Letter Magnets
These sweet Wooden Letter Magnets are just the thing for your fridge. Engraving wood is easy and fun if you take the proper precautions, and soon you'll realize all the possibilities of wood crafts! Make these fun magnets for you or as a gift! You could also use this technique to make wooden keychains, jewelry, or ornaments.
Materials:
- Medium sized brach
- Electric saw
- Wood burning tool
- Magnet Tape
- Hot glue gun
Instructions:
- Cut a medium-sized branch into coins that are about a 1/2 inch thick.
- Using a wood burning tool I simply carved the letters and numbers into the wood.
- Attach magnet tape with hot glue to the back and they are good to go! Make sure your coins are not too thick because the magnet will only hold a certain amount of weight and make sure to use hot glue or another strong adhesive even if the magnet tape is pre-sticky. The weight of the wood coins will require more adhesion than the magnet tape glue will provide.

What a super idea to use wood branches or cutting to make some letters and numbers for little ones to learn them for school or for learning the to spell. How much easier can you get just burn the letter or number in or if you do not have wood burning tool just engrave or use a permanent marker and glue a magnet to the back. Cute and fast. Great project. thanks.
