Granny's Mini Stocking Ornament
"I had a lot of fun designing this mini granny square stocking ornament. So many Christmas stockings made with granny squares try to fold the squares in odd ways and the resulting stocking never looks quite right. So, instead of using squares for the entire ornament, I chose to use them just for the cuff and work a single crochet foot. The foot is slightly shaped to look more like an actual heel and toe. And a fun top border is folded out to the right side with 4 points you can add tiny bells to. Do you have some faux fur in your stash? Instead of working the top border, you can substitute a faux fur border at the top for a fun look. I chose DK weight yarn because I wanted this mini granny square stocking ornament to be lightweight so that it would hang without drooping on those delicate evergreen branches. A lighter weight yarn gives the little stocking a less clunky appearance."
'Tis the Season to Celebrate! Discover More Christmas Crafts

1. Crocheted Snowflake Coasters: Create delicate and intricate snowflake coasters using fine crochet thread in white or silver. These coasters are perfect for adding a festive touch to your holiday table and are a great way to practice your crochet skills. You can even experiment with different snowflake patterns to create a set of unique coasters that will impress your guests.
2. Beaded Candy Cane Ornaments: For a fun and colorful Christmas craft, try making beaded candy cane ornaments. Use red and white beads to create the classic candy cane stripes, and add a loop of ribbon at the top for hanging on your tree. These ornaments are simple to make and can be customized with different bead colors to match your holiday decor.
3. Hand-painted Wooden Ornaments: Get creative with hand-painted wooden ornaments that you can personalize with your own designs. Use acrylic paints to add festive patterns, holiday scenes, or even your family's initials to wooden ornament shapes. These ornaments make great gifts for loved ones and can be treasured for years to come.
4. Felted Christmas Tree Garland: Create a cozy and whimsical felted Christmas tree garland by needle felting small tree shapes onto a long strand of wool. You can use different shades of green felt to vary the colors of the trees, and add tiny beads or sequins for extra sparkle. Hang the garland on your mantel or staircase for a festive touch that will brighten up your home for the holidays.
