This is a beautiful pattern. Could you please clean up the pattern, Row 7 is very difficult to understand. The way it is written if very difficult to follow. By the comments below this seems to be problematic for most people. could you send me a cleaned up version at mareelauren@hotmail.com

I'm in the process of making this, it is looking nice but was confused on tenth row instructions. It says with A at the beginning, but the end of that row is where it says to join A. I decided to wait and use A for the 11th row. We will see.....

I like this pattern looking at the picture I seem to see three colors is there ony two? Is there a video for these instructions I may have a little problem with dec 2tog and v stitch. But this will be my very next project when I am finished with a zebra ripple afghan I wany to learn a new pattern but hisatant some time afraid of not following correctly.

Hi there, Unfortunately we do not have a video for this pattern (but we do have plenty of other crochet videos on our YouTube channel - simply search for FaveCrafts!). Also, I double checked on the original pattern and the materials list is correct - the picture is a bit misleading. Sorry for the confusion! - Julia from FaveCrafts

On the 8th row it says to make a stich in the vstitch...well which one? The first dc the cs or the secend dc?

Is there a legend to explain what the instruction abbreviations mean? Those of us who are new can figure out some, but I want to be sure I can follow along before I actually start.

My daughter loves her blanket. I on the other hand had a lot of problems trying to decifer what the pattern MEANT, I assumed it was because this was my first time trying to do anything with crocheting. By the reviews, however, I see I'm not the only one who was confused. I did manage to complete the blanket after altering a bit of the pattern and I am very pleased with it now. But I'm not sure that it's possible to follow this pattern exactly as it is written.

Thank you I to am having trouble with the pattern could you please post the alterations that you made.

What do I think? I think no one is here to help anyone with these instructions on an afghan in which I was interested in making... What a shame... :(

I am new to crocheting, but I am currently making this blanket, successfully (I think). I might be able to help if you explained your question

I really love this pattern. After my last skip 2 chains I only have for chains left instead of nine. Is this correct. Someone please help.

yes, instead of decreasing over 4 stitches you will decrease over 2 .. so you will yo and insert hook into V-stitch pull loop through then yo and pull loop (just the same as you would for the normal decrease) The difference is now you will put the hook into the third chain from the row below as the second half of the decrease. Then chain three and start the next row

Is there a video for this ripple pattern.

I am confused as to "in the backs only". What's that mean?

V-stitch is always into same stitch.

That's strange. My actual instructions weren't posted! Here it is again... V-stitch = Into the same stitch you will double crochet, chain one, double crochet.

I am in need of directions for the "V" stitch and clarification on what you mean by Dec2tog. I am using a light pink for main color and plan on using a slightly darker pink or possibly lilac...my blanket is for a little girl..

This looks gorgeous so far I'm using Caron One Off-White MC and Nutmeg A It's pretty easy but for rows - - I had to make a little index card with a slit cut out of it so I could move it along the pattern directions with each stitch completed so I wouldn't get lost I'm on row but I must admit to some confusion as to row What color First of all it does NOT say join A at the end of row Row says with A but at the end of the row it says to join A for row which would seem to indicate that was supposed to be done in the MC switching to A for row At any rate this is a serious typo for row and or The photo is too small to be much help when I try to enlarge it it pixelates andRead More I can't tell what color it's done in the photo Please help if you can

Where are the instructions for making the V stitch? Need Crochet abbreviations listed.

following the 8th row is very complicated. without a close up of the detail I am really struggling

I had to take an index card, and cut out a strip out of it, so I could place it over the directions, blocking out everything but the stitch I was doing, so I wouldn't get lost. That was my mom's idea, and it REALLY worked!

Crochet abbreviations

This afghan is beautiful, I can't wait to try it. After reading the pattern & looking at the picture, it would be easy to follow.

What is the date these directions were updated....before comments? Dating your response will help us to know that the pattern has been corrected after our comments have been made. Thank you. I love this site and am thankful you have it available for us. Cheryle Chandler Live Oak, FL

We have updated the pattern. (An error stripped out the repeat asterisks.) We apologize for any inconvenience! Sincerely, FaveCrafts Editorial

I agree with the rest of you. It doesn't say to repeat from WHERE. Very frustrating!!! Who monitors this site? No one apparently.

On the first row, it says 'rep from to end of row.' Rep from where???

To find the crochet abreviations, just put the words "crochet abbreviations" in the search field of any search engine and you will get full explanations with diagrams. Very easy. The pattern DOES state the repeat Rep 2nd to 11th rows until work from beg measures approx 44 ins 112 cm ending with 11th row. Fasten off.

i would like to know how do i learn the abreviations please joan

pattern does not state where to repeat from or to
