Paper Easter Basket
This Paper Easter Basket from Debbie Buckland is a great craft for kids to make with their family. With some basic folding techniques, this Easter basket art project comes together with ease. Kids can decorate however they'd like before using it to find hidden eggs!
Materials:
- 3 sheets of 12x12 cardstock, cut into 1"x12" strips
- 1 1"x12" paper strip for handle
- Adhesive
- Stapler (optional)
Instructions:
- Using your strips, weave 9 strips across and 4 down.
- for the base of the basket count 3 across and 4 down – each of the sides is 3 strips high. Now weave the sides together to form the basket… some trimming may be necessary on the sides. Do NOT trim top tabs.
- Fold over the top tabs and secure in place with adhesive.
- Your basket will look like this…. or similar.
- Now trim another strip of 1″ x 12″ strip a little skinnier than 1″ and slip it under middle square and secure handle by folding up the end with adhesive.
- Now the last step is to get the kiddos to decorate them with stickers!
