ABC Wall Shelf

This decorative wall shelf is perfect for a kid's room or home office.  It's as easy as A,B,C!  Use this decorative shelf to store toys or books.  You could even personalize the shelf by writing your child's name rather than ABC.  This project can easily be made in bright pink and purple colors for little girls, too!

Materials:

• DuraClear Gloss Varnish
• Deco Art Designer Series Paint in Lush Foliage, Espresso, and Spa Blue
• 1" flat brush
• 0 liner brush
• Water container
• Palette or plastic plate
• Paper towels
• Painter's or masking tape
• Round sponge pouncer
• Wood shelf
• Wood letters

Instructions:

1. Basecoat as follows: shelf top, shelf back, and letter C, Spa Blue; shelf edges, side supports, and letter A, Lush Foliage; letter B, Espresso.
    
2. Tape off vertical stripes on shelf back. Lightly drag Espresso over open stripe areas with brush.
    
3. Repeat with horizontal stripes.
    
4. Use pouncer and Espresso to stamp dots on shelf top.
    
5. Use liner brush to add dash lines on letters with contrasting colors and Lush Foliage wiggle lines on shelf back.
    
6. Apply DuraClear Varnish, allowing to dry between coats.
